Hi everyone! Welcome to my attempt to share with you our experience as we camp from Boston to San Diego and back.
Several months ago, Josh and I began discussing what we wanted to do this summer. Typically, as teachers, we have spent our summer working second jobs. This summer, we felt it was important to really pour into our girls, 11 and almost 13, and decided the best way to do this would be to spend some serious time together…in a car…camping…across the country…without wifi and electricity in most sites. Crazy, right?!
My mom has always talked about her family trips across the country every summer with such fond memories and we decided we would like to recreate that with our children. So off we go.
Here are the main places we will be stopping:
New York, Philadelphia, Chattanooga, New Orleans, San Antonio (Waco), Carlsbad, Tucson, the Grand Canyon, San Diego, Yosemite, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Sioux Falls, Chicago, Cedar Point (Ohio), and back home. All in 33 days!
